She agrees to stay with him willingly if he helps her save Barsoom from the Vathek. The pair fly back to the planet Vona where Dejah and the resistance try to stop the bomb that threatens to destroy Barsoom while Andlaust releases a dust that lets sunlight through the atmosphere to stop his vampiric people.
