Reggie speaks in a stilted, formal manner in the early pages, with the word "thwarted" the subject of a joke. In an out-of-character moment, Veronica is able to fix Archie's jalopy with a couple of bobby pins. Usually it is Betty who is mechanically-inclined.

Synopsis
Mr. Weatherbee adds some "Jiffy-Gro" to his rubber plant, hoping it will grow. But when Archie accidentally destroys the plant, he sends Moose to the flower shop to get a replacement. Moose does so, but the one he gets is twice the size of the original, and Mr. Weatherbee believes the "Jiffy-Gro" plant food really works wonders.
