- Synopsis
- Albert gets an old book of songs written by "Samantha Spellbinder", a witch from Salem, Massachusetts. Whenever he plays her way-out chords on his guitar, the magic of the music causes anyone within earshot to fall in love -- but only with inanimate objects like trees, rocks, and mailboxes. Only Melody is unaffected by the spell, because she already loves everything and everyone. And it's up to Melody to show everyone that true love is for people, not for things.

Unusual for an Archie story, this story makes many references to real things, including Elvis Presley, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Billboard, and American Bandstand.
