- Synopsis
- The companions are amazed when a mute, green, winged woman lands on their ship while they are at port. Soldiers approach and demand her return, but (after coming ashore), she flies off, carrying a love-smitten Alsind with her. Arak and friends follow to retrieve their friend but, when they finally catch up to the lovers, the winged woman tries to keep Alsind away from them. The truth comes out when she transforms into a huge slug, a scion of the Serpent Lord. She didn't really see Alsind as a lover; he was going to be her lunch! Luckily, Arak manages to destroy the beast with fire.
