They haul with shot-through ropes and jammed guns, but best the killers. A grifter confesses the town's water supply runs under Wayne's store, and he wanted to control it. Johnny Thunder [John Tane]
Synopsis
The Boot Hill Gang is terrorizing Mesa City. They demand Johnny Thunder, and the Sheriff points to his son, schoolteacher John Tane (actually JT's secret identity)! The killers take him out of town to prove he's Johnny Thunder - or die. He clumsily shoots a tree branch on the killers, runs and changes to Johnny Thunder. He and Black Lightning, his horse, run down the villains and rescue the sheriff, who apologizes. He pointed out John Tane to stall until Johnny Thunder could rescue them. "Think John'll understand?" "I'm sure he will, Sheriff."
