Two covers were done for this issue; one by Alex Ross, and an alternate one by Bernard Chang (10 issues for 1 issue mixture). This issue is Green Shield Continuity #2.
For every 10 copies of the standard edition, retailers were allowed to order one copy of the variant edition.
Story continued from Superman: New Krypton Special (DC, 2008 series) #1, and continues in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #871. The U.S. President here resembles George W. Bush, but he mentions the incident in Amazons Attack (#4) where Supergirl brought down Air Force One; and that president looked different.
