Inspired by a boy who attempted to emulate a comic book and called himself Colossal Guy, Blackburn decides to adopted a costumed identity himself that would aid him in his attempt to crush the so-called "Un-American Band".

Indexer Notes

The Who's Who lists Harry Francis Campbell as writer of this strip from 1940-1942 and Henry Weston Taylor as the artist for the same period. Jim Amash, in the Quality Companion (TwoMorrows, 2011 series) #1 states that Campbell did this art.

The Demon's uniform was red and yellow with a horned hood and short cape, and perfected a trick using a rubber cable to drop from above. He also refers to himself as "The Destroying Devil," but his enemies call him a "Destroying Demon". Wears costume through issue #40.
