Synopsis
Walt, the sham sheriff, finally confesses to the townspeople that "meek storekeeper" Wayne is the real fighting twin. He pins the badge on Wayne and walks away. Grifters soon descend to shoot up the town, and Wayne must act inept to keep their secret. But Walt is captured and shoved off a cliff. Wayne hauls him to safety and shoots up the villains. Upon their return to town, people say, "Walt must've been sun-struck to say Wayne was the real sheriff. But everything's okay now!"

Synopsis
A boy hurtles over "Misty Falls" (now Niagara Falls), and Strong Bow needs vine-arrows to rescue him. He doesn't speak their language, so can't learn the boy's fate. He protects him from falling rocks, a broken rope bridge, and finally dumps an avalanche on the assassins. An elder explains the boy is now their chief since his father died yesterday!

Synopsis
Lt. Dan Foley has two assignments: stop an Apache uprising, and escort a peaceful emigrant wagon train. Foley's fighting cavalrymen volunteer to fight Apaches, except for one odd duck, Griffiths. Is he a coward, a stain on the 5th's pride? Even as they battle Apaches, Foley must rescue "dazed and confused" Griffiths. Yet he perks up when they reach the wagon train. Griffiths' fiancée is a passenger! Lt Foley forgives the young man's worried fretting, and reflects there are no cowards in the Fighting 5th.

Johnny Thunder is almost ambushed in Ravine Pass, but shoots faster and captures three badmen. Yet a bigger danger waits in town. A schemer has hired a killer named Coffin to gun JT down in a "fair gunfight". JT is coshed, hauled into town, and given empty guns for the fight. He races on foot and horseback, and punches Coffin. The gunfight will take place, with each shooter having one bullet. But Coffin chickens out, a coward. Just as well, for JT emptied both guns himself!
