Indexer Notes

The story's dialogue is snappy and with more of a sarcastic edge than typical Western Publishing fare, pointing to John Stanley as the tale's author.

Oswald's total cash-outlay for this inexpensive day in the country comes to $103.00 plus the undisclosed costs of a new horse harness and a full bucket of "wild berries" that were not-so-wild -- in 1949 dollars.
