Synopsis
Superman suddenly uses his powers to smelt raw gold into ingots. crush coal into diamonds, and collect giant pearls. All these he takes to a cave, and when Lois follows him there she is astounded to find that he has become a super miser. With the location revealed, Superman realizes that crooks will attempt to steal his treasure, so he fashions a steel door to hang across the entrance to the cave. The whole scheme is designed to trap the crook who stole an experimental atomic cutting torch.

Synopsis
Tommy and Brent find an abandoned desert planet which was evidently once home to an advanced civilization. They bring one of the machines found there back to Earth and Tommy volunteers to subject himself to the unknown rays. As a result he begins to shrink, eventually reaching microscopic size, at which point he encounters the inhabitants of the abandoned world, who had deliberately shrunk themselves when their planet could no longer sustain life. Rather than be restored to full size, they opt to live in the Planeteers' refrigerator.
