- Janie was a successful model, but falls for a man with a reputation for playing girls for suckers. He frames her for a theft he committed and Janie spends six months in prison. - Synopsis
- Five years earlier, three friends parted and went their separate ways. Of the three, Miriam had been considered the hard-headed one. She would marry Allan, but only after she was sure he was a successful painter. Reuniting in London, Joan and Betty discuss their married life, but Miriam tells them that, although Allan had become a successful painter, he was unwilling to marry her. The truth was that she had married him despite the fact he wasn't successful as he was now blind.
