A variant cover for this issue was created but not published due to controversy over its content. This month had Joker variant covers and the one by Raphael Albuquerque for Batgirl depicted the Joker holding a scared Batgirl, a reference to The Killing Joke. It was deemed inappropriate and pulled at the artist's request.
