According to memoirs in The Hokinson Festival, James Reid Parker wrote the captions for nearly all of Miss Hokinson's drawings. Most drawings are signed Helen E. Hokinson, with occasional variations such as H. E. Hokinson. Most drawings were reprinted in The Hokinson Festival.
