A teenaged Luthor is depicted with thinning hair, this tale pre-dates the story "How Luthor Met Superboy" (Adventure Comics (DC Series 1938) #271 April 1960). In this later issue Lex is shown losing a full head of hair in a laboratory accident, it is this version of events that is recognised as an integral part of the Silver Age Luthor/Superboy story.
