Two amusing oddities: (1): Upon capturing Bugs for a stew, pirate Murk expresses surprise that a rabbit can talk. Perhaps the first such "concept-acknowledgement" in Bugs' long comics career.
(2): Writer Don R. Christensen offers a little in-joke with the reveal that the giant pearl was "...Made in Racine, Wisconsin" - the location of the home offices of Western Publishing.

- Bugs' nephews Hare and Dare are visiting the daylights out of Bugs...
- Feature Logo
- Genre
- anthropomorphic-funny animals; humor
- Characters
- Bugs Bunny; Hare; Dare; three crooks
- Synopsis
- To help settle down his rambunctious nephews Hare and Dare, Bugs takes the kids on a long (and hopefully tiring) run. There they find an old house full of sliding panels and mysterious passageways used as a hideout by three crooks.

- crooks; haunted house; kids-at-play; nephews; visiting relatives
Bugs Bunny becomes another in a long line of funny animal characters in Dell/Gold Key/Whitman Comics to be saddled with nephews or nieces that are "miniature versions of themselves". Hare and Dare assume the unrestrained, overly-energetic role that we normally associate with Bugs, while Bugs finds himself in the uncharacteristic role of put-upon "parent".
A relatively easy "adventure" for the Bunnies, as the three crooks never even get out of bed before story's end.
This story is plotted as if it were by Vic Lockman, but the dialogue shows no indication of his unique style. The writer will remain as a "question mark".
