The deal would have been done, but Rip and company arrive. The imposter King is revealed as really Dr. Senn, who had pursuaded Blakeslee to help him at gunpoint. Cholorus, tired of the deception, leads his followers against the city, and it's now magic and sorcery against the city's defenses. In the end, Rip and the Time Sphere fly over Cholorus, and Rip ropes the sorcerer, removing the source of his power, a ring with a power stone. Rip destroys the ring, and begins the trip back home.
