- Because Gwen lives in the flat next to Beth's, David is always using her to pass messages to Gwen. Beth likes David and realizes Gwen is two-timing David with other boyfriends. But when she tries to break the news to David, he thinks she is just jealous. So David decides to leave a note under Gwen's door. Hearing the sounds of a dog chewing up the note in the hallway, she rescues the note for Gwen. However, the note that Gwen actually receives has some very strategically placed words removed, changing its meaning completely.
