This story was later adapted into a Hanna-Barbera produced cartoon segment aired during Season 2 of "The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show". The segment first aired in October 1981 and did have some alterations - among which was the exclusion of Richard Rich, Sr., and Reggie shaking while remaining in mid-air, and Reggie saying along the lines of "No, thank you" instead of "Aw, shaddup!" at the end.

But Lotta is so heavy that passengers slide towards the back of the bus and makes them believe the bus was driving up a steep hill, but the driver clarifies it isn't the case and suggests that Lotta sit at the front of the bus in the future.

- Synopsis
- Not knowing who was responsible for the robbery of the mansion, Mr. Rich stands firm on his decision to transport the trojan horse to the museum. However, the robbers have a plan in place to have a muscular guy hijack the Rich Freight helicopter and steal the horse from the Rich estate. However, Richie scares the pilot by pointing to what looks like a grenade, but is actually one of his mother's big gold earrings.
