Synopsis
Jim Lucas, a lone Marine on a Pacific island, awaiting a final Japanese attack, writes a note to his son Eddie Lucas and puts it in a canteen and throws it in the ocean. As fate would have it, his son was on a landing craft on the other side of the island that is hit by a mine. The only survivor is Eddie Lucas, who finds the canteen with his name on it and goes on a one-man rampage that reunites him with his father.
