Not to be confused with "Alec the Great", the syndicated funny animal strip by Edwina Dumm. Alec next appears in Comedy Comics #10, but his name is changed to Archie and his moniker to Archie the Gruesome. It can be assumed the name was changed due to the existence of the aforementioned Alec the Great syndicated strip.
