Art credits from David Saunders, Clarence Doore's biographer and foremost authority on his work. There is some confusion on the Norman Saunders website, but this is from a new list made by David Saunders, with credits to all the painted covers of G.I. Joe. April 2011.
Novick is credited to G.I. Joe in 1950-54 by Jerry Bails' Who's Who, but uncertain inking.
Dan DeCarlo is credited to both pencils and ink on Wendy the WAF in Jerry Bails' Who's Who, but Rudy Lapick is also credited as his personal inker, and the inking is not to be distinguished from other signed DeCarlo/Lapick stories in G.I. Joe.
Story told in form of letters.
Only Irv Novick, Mort Drucker and Bill Walton is credited to G.I. Joe in 1954 by Jerry Bails' Who's Who, and this must be Novick, but inker is uncertain.
At the bottom a very crude drawing of a G.I. writing a letter.
Novick is credited to G.I. Joe on both pencils and ink in 1950-54 by Jerry Bails' Who's Who, but the inking here must be by someone else, as it is not like his credited inking on Johnny Cloud in DC's "All-American Men of War". Those are much more thin penlines than these heavier brushlines.
