At a glance, when a UFO approaches a planet, we are conditioned to naturally regard that planet as the planet Earth... especially when a familiar character associated with the Earth, in this case Mighty Mouse, is the focal point of the illustration. But, since when does Earth have "intestine-shaped continents" as pictured here?
John Costanza draws the many cats appearing in this story (including Catastrophe Cat) in the same style as the many incidental cat characters he regularly draws for the 1970s-1980s Western Publishing Tweety and Sylvester title.
