Characters
Judith "Judy" Temple: Hal Brander; Ruth Grimsby; Samuel Grimsby; Mr. Blaine; Mrs. Ashley
Synopsis
Eventually the small-minded inhabitants of Tribridge, Vermont force Judy to confess what happened when she and her father left town.

Indexer Notes

I couldn't find either Tribridge or Patterson on a map of Vermont. I couldn't find a reference to the G-O Railroad too (perhaps it's the G-D Railroad, but I couldn't find that either). Despite the quotation on the cover ("Love memoirs taken from true life!") the note at the bottom of the first page of the "For Better or Worse" story ("All names and places in these true-to-life stories are fictitious. Any similarity between actual persons or places and those used in these stories is purely coincidental.') seems to apply.

Judy said she had infantile paralysis. Jonas Salk tested the first polio vaccine in 1952, but didn't announce it until April 1955.
