Synopsis
With Colby Shaw's help, the teens find computer files on each of them that Emmett Proudhawk had left at Sanctuary. They learn that Proudhawk had named them "Psi-Force," and given each of them codenames: "Healer" for Stasi; "Shockwave" for Kathy; "Salvo" for Michael; "Voyager" for Tyrone; "Network" for Wayne; and "Syphon" for Thomas Boyd. As they are reading the files, Stalker meets up with them with Derek Shiningstar's agents hot on his trail. The six of them form the Psi-Hawk to battle the agents, but the creature exhibits wild behavior, even turning on the group. Michael realizes that the Psi-Hawk can only merge five minds safely. He decides that Boyd needs the group more than him, and that he can make it on his own. He leaves the group and, realizing that Psi-Hawk didn't push him to return, decides that he made the right choice to leave.

Indexer Notes

The files name the remaining two on Proudhawk's list for the first time: Joan Grant, who is noted as dead; and Edward Finelli, who is noted at missing. Story takes place between Psi-Force #12 and #13.
