Can this be the pencil of Pete Alvarado? It is the same style that several of the Panhandle Pete and Gene stories in Gene Autry Comics. He is credited to have pencilled Panhandle and Gene at this time. I don't think he was that good with horses, so maybe he is credited with too much in Gene Autry. Then who is it?

The art in this story is very similar to several Panhandle Pete and some Gene stories, but is it Alvarado work? He is supposed to have started on Gene as penciller in 1950. But may have been credited with too much. The horses and hands are too good to be him when compared with some Alvarado drawing in Whitman Books.
