Indexer Notes

Originally part 1 of a 3-part novel, this chapter was originally titled "The Girl of Steel" and was slightly edited to be read independently. This version was reprinted from Giant Superman Annual #6.

Super-Girl differently coloured in this reprint to distinguish her from Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), who had not yet been created when this story first appeared.

This Super-Girl was a try out to gauge reader reaction to the character.
