A Confederate soldier's gun misfires on the 13th bullet after he had killed 12 Union soldiers. He in turn is killed by a Union soldier who takes the weapon. The first 12 bullets the Union soldier shoots kill 12 Confederates, but the 13th bullet proves unlucky again.
