Synopsis
Nigerian Henry Kano is extensively burned protecting Timmy from a forest fire. His recovery will require months of hospitalization in the States. His plans to teach his people modern farming methods will be delayed a full year, but the grateful Martins travel to Nigeria through the United States Farm Assistance Program to assume his teaching responsibilities.

Synopsis
When the Martins visit an African village to assess the native farming methods, they are viewed with suspicion that only deepens when a native woman is injured in a tornado. Paul, Timmy, and Lassie are held hostage while Ruth takes the injured woman to a distant hospital for treatment. When the woman returns to the village with her injuries mended, the Martins are accepted and a celebration is held.
