- Jughead needs money for food and gets a job handing out leaflets for a hardware store. After getting paid, he meets up with Archie who has a date with Betty coming up and no cash on hand. Jughead gives his money to Archie but when Archie goes to meet Betty, she surprises him by having a dinner made already so he invites Jughead in to join in the dinner.

Jughead takes this personally since he thinks this means that No Name has superseded him in the friend department. The girls try to get Jughead to love the dog and nothing works until it turns out Big Ethel is allergic to dog hairs.
