Al McKimson was a pen name for several artists. First the brothers Chuck and Tom McKimson. Others were Pete Alvarado, John Ushler, Randy Steffen, Andrew Bensen, Hi Mankin, Mike Arens, Alex Toth. The artist Ray Thayer had most of the Chuckwagon Charley's Tales. In Jerry Bails' Who's Who, he is credited to Zane Grey FC#449 Tappan's Burro. Using that as a start, it is easy to pick out the rest of his work in the 50's, and this is one. Art ID by Steinar Ådland January 2011. Script is credited Du Bois in Jerry Bails' Who's Who.
