Others were Pete Alvarado, John Ushler, Randy Steffen, Andrew Bensen, Hi Mankin, Mike Arens, Alex Toth. The art may vary a bit since several of them could work on the same story (by R W Phillips)

The artist Ray Thayer had most of the Chuckwagon Charley's Tales. In Jerry Bails' Who's Who, he is credited to Zane Grey FC#449 Tappan's Burro. Using that as a start, it is easy to pick out the rest of his work in the 50's, and this is one. Art ID by Steinar Ådland January 2011.
