But Jerry says he sold a painting he did of Linda and can now make a living as an artist: Linda agrees to marry him.

Faith lies and says she recorded Nadine’s confession and tells her to break off the engagement or be exposed. Faith and Jon are wed.

Ann is killed when their train crashes, and Janet is mistaken for her. She moves in with Ann’s rich uncle and aunt and falls in love with their neighbor Roger. Jim shows up and tries to get money from Janet’s “uncle,” but Janet confesses the truth. Roger and her aunt and uncle say they still love her.

Plot is somewhat reminiscent of Cornell Woolrich's novel "I Married a Dead Man" (1948)--woman survives a train crash and is mistaken for another passenger who died.
