Synopsis
Small-town resident Polly has a chaste relationship with her boyfriend Wade. She writes a romantic novel and visits New York when it’s purchased by a publisher. Her agent Bruce says the book is considered a satire on romance novels, which offends Polly, but she plays along. Wade arrives and catches Bruce kissing Polly: she tells him that she wants to be kissed, so Wade obliges. Bruce cheerfully withdraws.

Synopsis
Lenore spends all of her time “nursing” her ailing mother, but new Dr. Moran tells Lenore her mother is faking her illness to prevent Lenore from leading a life of her own. Although Lenore and Moran fall in love, she refuses to believe her mother is deceitful. Moran tricks Lenore’s mother into revealing the truth, and he and Lenore can finally wed.

Synopsis
As a child, Helen pretended to be helpless to get boys and men to do things for her, and she continues this practice as an adult. On vacation, she meets Walt, who is attracted to her but dislikes the “one flaw in her personality.” While on a mountain hike, Walt falls and is badly injured. Helen has to overcome her inexperience to rescue him. “I’ll never be Helpless Helen again!” she tells him, and they will be married.
