Synopsis
Reporter Bart investigates the death of Janice, a mysterious blonde whose body was washed up on a beach. He becomes obsessed with her, to the detriment of his relationship with fellow newspaper employee Sylvia. Bart visits Janice’s home town and discovers she’s alive: she left town suddenly to marry Joe, just discharged from the Army. The dead woman’s identity is a mystery. Bart realizes his love for Janice was an illusion, but Sylvia is real.

The basic premise of this story is the same as the novel and film "Laura" by Vera Caspary. However, the conclusion is different.

Synopsis
At lunchtime each day, Meg helps her father Frank with his lunch wagon business outside a local factory, then returns to school. She breaks up with factory worker Biff in order to date wealthy classmate Hal. Hal asks Meg to hide her humble origins from his parents, but when a factory worker gets fresh and Biff defends her, Hal’s father—who owns the factory—sees her there. Hal agrees with his parents: Meg is too common for him. Meg and Biff reconcile.
