Woodrow Nescott, a teen who has lived his life quarantined due to a rare environmental disease which can create monstrous, deadly white blood cell blobs, breaks out of his home to help an actor who he believes is actually the character he portrays on TV. When the actor tries to manipulate Woodrow into killing his TV rival, Superman intervenes. The actor is absorbed by the blob and Superman finds a cure for Woodrow's condition.
