When Christopher Robin reads aloud from a book that tells of a caboose, "It follows and peeks up over the end of the train. And has a red light behind it.", Pooh, Tigger, and Owl each misinterpret a different part of that description, sparking a "caboose-panic" in the Hundred Acre Wood.
In his frightened state, Pooh imagines a caboose as something akin to a giant version of Mickey Mouse's black-cloaked foe The Phantom Blot - page 4, panel 7.
