Since the beginning of the series (the one-shot Shatter Special #1, the Jon Sable Freelance backup series issues #25-30, and then the Shatter series since issue #1) this and other corporations began a business of killing talented people, to extract their genetic RNA to sell like a black-market drug, that can be injected to pass on those talents to illegal buyers who purchase the stolen RNA.

Part 6 of a story that began in issue 5, and continues through issue #14.
