Synopsis:
The Blackhawks head for India, being told that rioting has broken out, fueled by the Japanese, and when they arrive in Calcutta by air, they call on the American consul who asks desperately for their help. When he is killed, the Blackhawks continue the mission he told them about... namely, to find and rescue the Scottish Lost Battalion.

(1) Letterer credit per Mark Evanier in the Archives edition. Mark Evanier states in the Archive edition that Alex Kotzky appears to have assisted Crandall on his early Blackhawk stories. The Who's Who lists Kotzky as a Blackhawk artist from 1942-44/47.
(2) Although the Blackhawk standing on page 8 panel 2 appears to be Stanislaus, he must in fact be Zeg, who is referenced by name on page 15 panel 3.
