The Ringo Kid recovers the Golden Spur and brings it to a town overrun by bandits, where it is used as a key to free the town's citizens from prison. Ringo then leads the citizens against the bandits and drives them out.
The Ringo Kid and Dull Knife save Henshaw from bandits and promise to deliver him to Fort Bristol, believing him to be a fellow outlaw. Although Henshaw proves to be a military colonel, he is so impressed by Ringo's generosity that he lets him go free.
The Ringo Kid is believed to be behind stage robberies where the victimized stage is set loose in the desert, but a marshal who knows his father believes in him and lets him go when another robbery occurs. With his father, Ringo baits the Phantom Raiders with a phony stage and they capture the gang.

Synopsis
The Ringo Kid's father is captured by Saterlee, who demands Ringo steal a wagon of ammunition from the military in exchange. When Ringo arrives with the wagon he has Dull Knife roll it down the hill towards Saterlee's shack, causing all of his men to scatter -- but there was no ammo inside. The trick works and Ringo frees his father.
