Betsy and Bill want to marry, but her mother opposes the match. Betsy’s Uncle Jim tells them the story of a young man who found out his girlfriend loved another; in the end all three of them separated, unhappily. After Betsy and Bill leave, Jim finishes the story: he was the first young man, who then told Ruth that she should go after the man she really loved. Ruth was Jim’s girlfriend, and she married his brother: Betsy is their daughter.

Synopsis
Famous model Faith goes on a bond-selling tour with Korean War ace pilot Paul. They fall in love and get secretly married, but Paul is sent back into action and is killed. Paul’s parents tell Faith they knew the truth all the time and insist that she stay.
Lynn and Ruth run a travel agency. Ruth books wealthy Tad a vacation at Golden Acres, and suggests Lynn go there as well. Posing as a rich guest, Lynn meets Tad and they fall in love but he doesn’t propose marriage. When Lynn gets back to the agency, she meets the real Tad: he says he sent one of his employees, Josh, to the resort in his place. Lynn and Josh are reunited, now aware that neither of them is rich...but it doesn’t matter.
