Synopsis

Cliff wants to become a success on his own but he agrees to try it for six months. Cliff is unhappy and leaves. Some time later he returns, a noted foreign correspondent. Synopsis
Charlotte thinks co-worker Cliff is "too immature...too unsophisticated!" She falls in love with her new boss David, although he's "past forty" and married with two children. Charlotte and David have an affair and Charlotte asks him to divorce his wife. However, one of David's children falls ill--Charlotte is angry that he breaks a date with her to care for the child, and David says she's "self-centered! Thoughtless! Vain!" Clint consoles Charlotte and they eventually get engaged.
