Synopsis
Jan is hired as the companion for Mildred, who lost the use of her legs in an automobile accident. Mildred’s fiancé Ted feels responsible. He and Jan fall in love but hide their feelings. Jan learns Mildred is not paralyzed and has been having an affair with Dr. Toomis. Mildred plans to marry Ted, then divorce him and receive a large cash settlement. When Jan informs him of the scheme, Ted pretends to be broke and Mildred admits she doesn’t love him and isn’t an invalid.

Synopsis
Mary works as a waitress to support her younger brother Mike. Her pilot fiancé Fred and parents were killed in a plane crash a few years before, and Mary dislikes airplanes as a result. Pilot Dan Engel defends Mary from a lustful diner patron and they eventually fall in love. However, Mary constantly fears Dan will die in a crash and they break up as a result. When Mike falls ill, only Dan’s aviation expertise can deliver the medicine he needs to recover. Mary and Dan reconcile and she no longer fears and hates flying.
