Jughead tricks Reggie into coming to a costume party dressed as Jughead. Jughead calls Moose, who is tasked with throwing out anyone not in a costume. Jughead says he will show up not in costume and dares Moose to throw him out. When Moose sees Reggie in the Jughead costume, he beats up on Reggie.

Archie and Reggie ask Jughead to come to their picnic dressed as a bear, as a prank on Betty and Veronica. Jughead can't find a bear costume, but a real bear crashes the picnic and wallops Reggie. Reggie still thinks it's Jughead until Jughead shows up not in costume and all the guys run past the girls in their hurry to get away from the bear.
Jughead is caught reading about hypnosis during class. Mr. Weatherbee explains to the gang that only the weak-minded can be hypnotized. Jughead says he could even hypnotize Mr. Weatherbee. He spends 15 minutes trying to hypnotize Mr. Weatherbee into thinking he's a kangaroo, with no apparent result. Satisfied, Mr. Weatherbee leaves, hopping away like a kangaroo.
When Jughead is named as an heir in his uncle's will, Reggie thinks Jughead has inherited money. He buys him malteds at the Choklit Shop and lets him have cash, ensuring him that it's not a loan, to get in Jughead's good graces in hopes of getting part of the inheritance. When he realizes that Jughead's uncle is still alive, Reggie wants the money back, so he pays five dollars to a farmer for his cow. He sells the "meat" to Jughead, but when Jughead sees that it's a cow, he's not disappointed. To settle things with the farmer, Reggie has to pay twenty dollars to get the cow back from Jughead.
Jughead sees Souphead making a girl carry his books home. He tries to show Souphead how to be gallant, first by helping a lady across the street (even though she was waiting for a bus) and chasing down a ladies hat that blew from her head (even though he crushes it to her dismay). Souphead demonstrates his politeness by helping an elderly lady across the street. Jughead is proud, but Souphead explains it was "politics" since the lady he helped is his school teacher.
Jughead demonstrates a diabolo style of yo-yo to Archie. When Archie tries he it, he accidentally flings it across a hedge and hits Veronica. He attempts to blame it on Jughead, but as Archie and Veronica walk away, Jughead gives Archie away by asking for the sticks back. Veronica storms off and Archie ends up playing "diabolo" with Jughead from a tree limb.

Betty and Veronica praise Jughead for his prolific basket weaving. Reggie and Archie conspire to play a prank on Jughead by calling on the phone, pretending to place an order, and getting Jughead to carry thirty baskets to a certain address. The woman at the address not only buys the baskets, but wants more for her husband's offices.
Mr. Weatherbee promises a pin from the Maya Society to the student who solves the word puzzle. Veronica tells Archie how grateful she would be if she could get the answer. Archie and Reggie moan about not knowing what the answer could be. Jughead says he knows, but he doesn't care about the Maya Society. Reggie and Archie both want the answer, but Jughead says he will give the answer to the higher bidder. Reggie pays him with a month of free hamburgers at the Choklit Shop. Archie is sad until Jughead shows him the pin he got for telling Mr. Weatherbee the answer the day before.

Archie asks Veronica to a football game, but she has plans. Jughead wants to go, but Archie asks Betty. She says 'no' and Archie is confused why she didn't say 'yes.' Jughead offers to help find out why if he can have the extra ticket. She is joining a sorority and answering 'no' for a whole day is part of the initiation. Archie says he'll just ask her again once the day is up, but he promised the ticket to Jughead. Jughead admits he knew why Betty said 'no' the whole time, so Archie pays him back by tying Jughead up in a bag to "watch" the game.

Mr. Weatherbee shows nature films to Archie and Jughead. Afterward, he decides to take a nap in a storeroom. Archie and Jughead want to see the rest of the film, so they set up a sheet and watch the film in the same storeroom. When Mr. Weatherbee wakes up, he sees a gorilla on the screen and is so scared he runs through the wall.
Jughead's uncle Bibbo shows Jughead all the latest technology he has in his home. Uncle Bibbo must leave for awhile, so he leaves Jughead at the house. Jughead decides that since his uncle insists on only the latest technology, he throws out his old books and buys new ones. The old ones were antique first editions worth a lot of money. He shows him an edition of "Canterbury Tales" written "way back in thirteen hundred something." He is so mad at Jughead that he throws the book, commenting that Jughead is the first person to be hit by a "flying Chaucer."
Betty and Veronica are going to Summer Camp. Jughead convinces Archie and Reggie they can go too, by planting vegetables on an empty lot and selling their produce before the local vegetable stand. The next day, they visit the lot and find their hard work has been destroyed by machines clearing the land for a new vegetable market. Archie and Reggie decide to earn money by charging local kids to throw vegetables at Jughead's face.
Archie and Jughead offer to help Betty and Veronica build their booths for the bazaar. Archie hopes to be repaid by Veronica's good graces and Jughead hopes to be repaid by home-cooked food from Betty. After their hard work building the booths, Archie finds out Veronica's booth is a pie in the face booth and it will be Archie's face. Jughead takes the first pie when he finds out that Betty's booth is a kissing booth.

Veronica invites Jughead to see her cousin Bruce do magic tricks. Jughead has a raffle ticket, #23, for the same night. Jughead comes over to see Bruce's magic tricks, but ends up watching Elliot while Veronica and Bruce go out. Elliot plays several tricks on Jughead. Veronica and Bruce came back saying they went to a raffle and the person whose number came up, #23, wasn't present, but Elliot's ticket was the next winner drawn.
Visiting Veronica's backyard pool, Jughead shows how his stilts make it appear he can walk on water. He convinces Reggie it is his shoes which allow him to do it. Reggie buys the shoes, and bets Archie he can walk on water. When he tries to show it, he only gets wet in the pool.
Jughead rigs the push mower with an old motor and the mower goes out of control, wrecking Mr. Weatherbee's yard and his house. Mr. Weatherbee takes it out on Jughead's hat, while Jughead is wearing it.
Souphead builds a large box kite, so large that a gust of wind carries it away and Souphead with it. Jughead fears he is lost, but when Souphead finally returns, Jughead is so happy he promises to get him anything he wants. Souphead wants the biggest kite in Riverdale. Jughead gets the kite as promised, but also gets a ball and chain to attach to Souphead's leg before he flies the kite.
