Mr. Weatherbee; Miss Grundy; Archie Andrews; Jughead Jones; Reggie Mantle; Betty Cooper
Archie isn't getting in trouble in school. Jughead explains that it's because Reggie isn't chasing Veronica, so Archie thinks he's up to something. Reggie explains that it's because Betty quit chasing Archie, so he can't get near Veronica. Betty explains that it's because of Mr. Weatherbee's speech about being satisfied with what you have. Mr. Weatherbee gives a speech to the school about ambition and everyone goes back to normal, with Archie in the principal's office again.
Li'l Jinx exits an ice cream parlor and her friend comes behind her, puts his hands over her eyes and says, "guess who?" She guess six different names before he says she is correct, but now her ice cream has been eaten while she guessed.
Jughead is the only one spending money at the Choklit Shoppe. The rest of the gang threatens to boycott if Pop Tate serves him. He doesn't want to lose their business, so he offers them all ice cream, for free. They all pay Jughead their allowances, because he had bet them he could get Pop Tate to give away free ice cream.
Mr. Weatherbee; Archie Andrews; Jughead Jones; Betty Cooper; Veronica Lodge; Miss Grundy
Mr. Weatherbee complains that Archie and Jughead are always late, so they arrive very early the next day. This confuses the other students, who think it's time for the second class already. Soon, everyone in the school is confused about the schedule. Mr. Weatherbee tells them not to arrive before ten a.m. from then on.
Jughead shovels snow from the sidewalk and throws half a bucket of ashes on the ice, to prevent slipping. He throws the other half of the ashes over the fence and it lands on a policeman. To prevent the problem recurring, Uncle Herman puts an awning over the sidewalk. The awning breaks and drops snow on the head of the same policeman. The policeman says he'll forgive if the sidewalk is clean of snow by the time he runs around the block. They spray it with hot water and the policeman slides on it when he comes in running. Herman puts himself in jail.
Coach Kleats makes Jughead box with Reggie and Reggie punches Jughead out. Jughead's Uncle Herman offers his Jekyll and Hyde formula to give Jughead a fighting chance. Jughead refuses and pretends to be hypnotized while Uncle Herman gets the formula. He returns to the room to find a gorilla and thinks it's Jughead. The gorilla beats up Uncle Herman, who insists to the police that it's Jughead. The gorilla ends up back in the zoo and Uncle Herman ends up in the sanitarium.
Miss Grundy; Mr. Weatherbee; Reggie Mantle; Jughead Jones; Archie Andrews
Reggie pranks Miss Grundy by tying a tiny paper airplane to a fly. Miss Grundy thinks Martians are invading. Mr. Weatherbee sees it too and smashes it with a book, discovering the prank. Jughead passes a note by making a paper airplane of it and it flies out the classroom window, into Mr. Weatherbee's window. Mr. Weatherbee plans to intercept the meeting by the birdbath. He ends up being at the site of an actual plane crash.
Archie Andrews; Veronica Lodge; Betty Cooper; Jughead Jones
Jughead encourages Betty to be a tom-boy to attract Archie's attention. They build a giant box kite and it flies away in the wind with Jughead holding on. Jughead finally lands in the city reservoir and makes his way back wrapped in the sheets from the kite.
