Synopsis:
Dr. Fate 'dies' from his injuries as Zanadu begins his ultimate plan for Earth-2. However, 'fate' steps in and the good Dr. is revived to vanquish Zanadu once more, reencasing him in his amber prison once more. The Injustice Society also reemerges as Fiddler is controlling Wildcat, as the rest of the JSA/Squad faces Solomon Grundy.

Story continued from previous issue; story continues in part in next issue. Superman retires from the JSA once more and insists that Power Girl is elected as his replacement. It is revealed on the splash page of the next issue, continuing from this issue, that both Power Girl and Star-Spangled Kid have been made "full-fledged members" of the Justice Society.
