Glen Gold has suggested Romita corrections on Howard the Duck (GCD Error Tracker, Error 2851, 17 December 2009), although Nick Caputo is uncertain if Romita provided any alterations.

Upon John Romita Sr's passing in 2023, Steve Leialoha left this note on facebook post: 'Here's a favorite~ (although he’s best known for his Spider-Man and Mary Jane), a Gene Colan drawn cover with the big Howard redrawn by John Romita (with my inks)'
