Synopsis
Mary’s boyfriend Ross leaves to work in South America. While he’s gone, Mary falls in love with Tim, but before she can write and break up with Ross, he returns to the USA. Mary and her friend Lynne suspect Ross may have changed his mind about accepting money from Mary’s rich father. Mary, Lynne, Ross and Tim all go to dinner and inform the men that Mary’s father is now broke. Surprisingly, it is Tim who breaks off his relationship with Mary now that’s she’s allegedly poor. Mary and Ross will wed and return to South America.

Synopsis
Lois is engaged to “steady” Bob but when he leaves for a job in New York, she finds herself attracted to “wild” Pete. Lois rejects Pete and he also goes to New York. Lois becomes a “colorist” and moves to the city herself to take a job. She discovers Bob has been cheating on her and is still unemployed. When Lois becomes well-known, Bob tries to win her back, but she accepts Pete’s marriage proposal instead.
