Synopsis
Laurie and Bobby elope; a month later, he's drafted and sent to Korea. She's pregnant when she learns Bobby died in action. Laurie moves to New York and is promoted from sales clerk to assistant buyer in a department store. She falls in love with Peter, son of the store owner, but conceals the existence of her son. Peter's jealous cousin Anne tells him about the child and Peter breaks up with Laurie. However, he immediately changes his mind and his parents are also okay with it.

Synopsis
Betty's boyfriend Jimmy is a talented amateur boxer, but her fight manager father Pop doesn't think he's good enough to turn pro. Pop signs Lefty instead and intends to make him a champion. Lefty flirts with Betty and Jimmy gets jealous. A week before the big fight, Jimmy discovers Lefty is really a boxer named Lucky who'd lost his license and had plastic surgery; he plans to throw the match to pay off the mob. Jimmy knocks out Lefty/Lucky and substitutes for him in the ring. Jimmy wins the title and is reunited with Betty.

Synopsis
Dana wins a beauty pageant and moves to New York to become a model. A veteran model warns her that all men think models are "easy." Dana falls in love with Burt, then learns he's married. Burt's brother-in-law Ron helps Dana get a television job; they date, and fall in love. Burt shows up at Dana's apartment unexpectedly and Ron catches them together; Burt is accidentally injured when he and Ron fight. The scandal costs Dana her job. She goes back home, but Ron follows and says he now knows she didn't invite Burt to her apartment. Dana and Ron will marry.

Synopsis
Lola and her family are circus aerialists. New business manager Tim and Lola fall in love, although he wishes she wasn't in such a dangerous act. Lola's parents, to save the circus, perform a risky stunt and are killed; Lola blames Tim. Lola dates wealthy playboy Rex and agrees to marry him, but his snobby family forbids her to reveal her circus past to their friends. When a fire breaks out at the circus, Lola returns and rescues Tim and her younger brother Ronnie. Tim and Lola reconcile.
