Synopsis:
Captain Paragon sees a vision of the Shroud, the super-villain that he killed, while Dr. Latimer is experimenting on him trying to get the LSD out of his system. Captain Paragon tries to break free but they manage to sedate him. When Dr. Latimer goes back to his office the Shroud appears to him and twists the story of Captain Paragon rescuing him into one where he humiliates him in the Korean War by stopping the Red Butcher before he could. Dr. Latimer believes his story and asks what the Shroud wants from him. The Shroud tells him to kill Captain Paragon.

Paragon Super Heroes #1 was to reprint the original story of the beginning of Captain Paragon and the out of print origin stories of The Girl From LSD and The Shade. Captain Paragon #2 and Haunt of Horror #1 was never published. Paragon #5 was to star Durango Kid. Synopsis:
Captain Paragon wakes up and breaks out of his cell at Latimer Laboritories. He is about to leave when Nicola asks him to help her father who is being controlled by some unseen menace. Suddenly the Shroud appears and tries to convince Captain Paragon that he is a ghost because Captain Paragon killed him. Mara arrives and convinces Captain Paragon that he never killed the Shroud, he was just pretending to die so that he could destroy Captain Paragon with the guilt he was feeling. The Shroud seems to transport them both to another dimension but Captain Paragon figures out it is mind control and he breaks the hypnotic hold the Shroud had on them. The Shroud disappears and Captain Paragon and Mara leave before Proxima can find them. Nicola tells her father that the Shroud is gone but the Shroud's cape is seen hanging up behind the door in his room.
