Originally written as a Conan story, "The Frost Giant's Daughter", which was rejected by REH's publisher; re-written as an Amra story, it was published by FANTASY FAN (March 1934) under the title "Gods Of The North". Later rewritten by L.Sprague DeCamp and published in THE COMING OF CONAN (Gnome Press, 1953), FANTASY FICTION #1 August 1953), FANTASTIC UNIVERSE #1 (December 1956) and CONAN OF CIMMERIA (Lancer paperback, 1969).
